ARE ARTISTRY'S ACTORS PAID?
Artistry currently operates under the Small Professional Theater (Tier 4) agreement with Actor’s Equity Association (AEA). AEA Contract: $482 per week plus health and pension. Other contracts range from $330 - $390 per week. Max of 30 hours per rehearsal week (typical rehearsal schedule is Tues-Fri: 5:30-10p; Sat: 10a-6p; Sunday 12p-5p). All rates are non-negotiable.
Artistry is committed to honoring the value of an artist's work and encouraging professional growth among all the artists who work with us.
I CAN'T MAKE THE AUDITION. DO YOU ACCEPT VIDEO SUBMISSIONS?
We will accept video submissions during audition times, if necessary. To submit a video audition, please contact audition@artistrymn.org.
I’M A TEEN/THE PARENT OF A TEEN INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING - DO YOU CAST UNDER 18?
Artistry mostly casts adult actors over the age of 18, and “teen” roles are often played by adults. However, we do occasionally hold separate auditions for teens with exceptional dance ability or training, which will be listed here and on Minnesota Playlist.
MY SON OR DAUGHTER IS INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING - DO YOU HAVE ANY ROLES FOR KIDS?
Artistry usually has one show a season that requires youth actors under 14. Those auditions will be posted here or on Minnesota Playlist, and are done “open call” style instead of by appointment. Youth actors are paid a stipend.
To be considered for casting outside the normal timeframe of auditions, please submit a headshot and resumé to audition@artistrymn.org.
General Auditions for Sweet Charity and Waitress have taken place. Actors will be notified about callbacks in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned for information about our auditions for Singin in the Rain and Once on this Island
